Jeff co-founded UTD in 2008, acquired the company fully in 2018, and left his management role in 2025. Jeff continues to coach divers and instructor candidates and teach classes.

Jeff’s coaching philosophy: I believe a coach’s job is make you a better diver or athlete. If you are a recreational diver looking to advance, or a masters athlete looking for race results, or you are just getting started on your scuba or fitness journey, coaching will make your process better and, in turn, will make your outcome and results better. As we see more and more companies produce online and AI-driven training plans, the role of a coach remains the same – understand you, the diver and you, the athlete. As your coach, I will be your guide when needed, your cheerleader when needed, and an objective voice when needed.
